what to expect
We don't know what your expectations are when you walk into a church. We have people coming to Joshua House from all over the religious map, as well as people who have never stepped foot in a church in their lives. So, wherever you are coming from and whatever your past experieces with church have been, we want to redefine what church could be like for you.
Here's what you can expect from us:
Our faith is honest
We don’t pretend to be perfect, but recognize that Jesus is the only one who is. So we are honest with ourselves and honest in our search for God through the difficulty and the joy of life.
Our worship is passionate
We believe that music sung to God should be excellent, and that our worship should elevate God and express the wonder that is within our souls. So we worship our whole heart and praise God for who he is through music in our services.
Our messages are practical
We think the Bible is meant for everyone to understand, so while we preach God’s Word with intelligence and power, we speak in everyday language so it makes sense in your everyday life.
Our service is casual
Come as you are, you’ll fit right in. Wear what you were going to wear anyway, grab a cup of coffee, be comfortable, and be yourself. No need to be formal here.
Our beliefs are ancient
Joshua House is a part of Vineyard Columbus, an evangelical Christian church which holds to the clear and historic teachings of the Bible and creeds of church.
Our God is alive
We don’t gather to learn about who God used to be, we gather to encounter the living and active God of today. We invite God’s Holy Spirit to move in our lives and regularly pray for each other in our services.
