Joshua House has four types of small groups to choose from:
Picking a small group
What's the first step to getting connected in Joshua House? Picking out a small group to go to! We have nearly 50 groups that meet throughout Columbus ... and every week all over the city, young adults from all walks of life enjoy community together in them. To find out more, watch this short video, or fill out our online form and we'll email you information about groups in your area. Or, visit our small group wall in the church lobby where there's always someone around to help direct you to a group that will be a good match for you. picking a small group (video)
Experiencing a small group
Once you find a group it's time to show up! You are welcome to just drop in or you can always call the group leader to connect with them before you go. New people join our groups every week, and no matter where you go you'll be welcomed, you'll enjoy some coffee and you'll have a great time getting more into the life of our church. 1. Coed Home Groups:
Home Groups are made up of all kinds of people from all walks of life who come together weekly to worship God, study the Bible and pray for each other. Home Groups help us to find community with each other, and they also give us great opportunities to serve our community and our church together. Groups meet throughout the week in all different areas of the city and on most of the college campuses around Columbus. Check here for help finding a home group that’s right for you!
2. Women’s & Men’s Groups:
Joshua House also has many groups that are not coed. Our Women’s & Men’s groups are structured just like a Home Group, meeting weekly for worship, bible study & prayer. Groups meet all over Columbus. Check here for help finding a men’s or women’s group that’s right for you!
3. 2:7 Discipleship Groups
At 2:7, from Colossians 2:7, you'll find a small group of people who are committed to going deeper in their walks with Christ. You'll learn how to study your Bible, how to memorize scripture, how to pray and you'll be encouraged by older leaders who want to invest in your spiritual journey. 4. Mended Groups
All you have to do is watch the evening news to figure out that our world is seriously broken! Not only our world, however, but we too struggle with areas of life that need to be fixed. Mended groups are short-term opportunities for you to begin to seek healing in various areas of your life that don't reflect Christ's freedom. Whether you have an anger problem, an issue with drinking or substance abuse, an eating disorder, problems with depression... Mended groups are Christ-focused and safe places to get real with your brokenness and to seeking God's healing. For more info about how to join a mended group, email us.
