Getting into a Joshua House Small Group takes some initiative, but is easier than it looks.
To get plugged in you can:
Just show up. Honestly, we are always inviting and expecting new people, so this would be the easiest way to start. You should contact the leader just to make sure you know where it is and to get a general ‘feel' for what the group is like.
Come to a Welcome Dinner. Most months we have our JH Welcome dinner on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month immediately following the service on Sunday night (exact dates are posted on our calendar). There you will have the chance to personally meet group leaders who want to meet you and tell you about their group.
Come to a ‘Discover Community' Event. We have many different types of gathering places from dancing to dodgeball to documentary viewings to connect you into our community. These are creative venues where small group leaders are excited to meet you and introduce you to others in their group. Check out our Calendar for all upcoming events.
Every group is a little bit different, so you may want to try and visit a few before you decide which one is the best fit for you. We definitely encourage everyone to commit to a group, because that is where you will find opportunity to really change and grow in relationship with other people.
